Under Maria's direction, Orbis partners with companies to utilize the technology. She draws upon business development experience at Cerner Corporation and technical experience as an engineer. Maria earned a BS in Civil Engineering from Kansas State University, MS in Environmental Engineering from Stanford University and MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Cory Berkland, PhD, has demonstrated Precision Particle Fabrication’s capabilities for more than a decade. Cory has a PhD in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, where he co-invented and developed the Orbis technology. Cory is a Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Chemical and Petroleum Engineering at The University of Kansas.
Vice President of Business Development
Jamie Rice began working for Orbis on a consultancy basis and has since become part of the daily core team. Jamie has worked in a number of different industries, in a variety of functional roles, and has accumulated a very diverse set of skills that span strategy, corporate development, finance, operations, and data analysis. Jamie brings with her undergraduate and graduate engineering degrees from Kansas State University.
Vice President of Research & Development
Nathan Dormer, PhD, leads the formulation team at Orbis. He has more than 8 years of experience developing a variety of controlled-release solutions using Precision Particle Fabrication technology. He received his BS in Chemical Engineering from The University of Kansas before completing his PhD in Bioengineering from The University of Kansas. He has authored a number of publications and book chapters relating to Orbis' technology.
