Bo is a proven entrepreneur with posts of Founder and CEO of Zaarly; VP, Entrepreneurship for The Kauffman Foundation; Co-Founder of LightSpeed Genomics; Managing Director of Biomed Valley Discoveries and Consultant for PureTech Ventures. Bo earned his BS in Biomedical Engineering from Southern Methodist University and MBA from Harvard Business School.
With over 30 years of experience, Mike is an expert in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, and medical device development and regulatory science. Mike currently serves as Chief Development Officer for Silvergate, and was previously instrumental in the worldwide development and regulatory approval of products spanning a broad range of therapeutic categories at Beckloff Associates.
Terry J. Shelton
Terry started assisting Orbis as Special Advisor for Business Development in 2008. Before Orbis, Terry was VP of Business Development for Pharmion Corporation, a small oncology pharmaceutical company, and VP of Business Development for Aventis Pharmaceuticals. Terry is active in a number of consulting / volunteering / mentoring roles. He received his BSBA from the University of Missouri and his MBA from Harvard Business School.
Tom has served as general counsel for Orbis since 2008. Tom has two decades of experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and related industries, ranging from brownfield laboratory start-ups in Cambridge (MA) to billion-dollar product manufacturing operations in Europe and Puerto Rico, from corporate strategy to daily legal support. Tom has degrees in business administration/economics (KU) and law (Iowa).
James is the senior vice president for investments & treasurer for the University of Kansas Endowment. He organized Orbis’ investors and represents them on our board. Previously, James was a partner and head of private equity at Fiduciary Research and director of private investments at the Kauffman Foundation. He is a board member for Infegy, a technology company, and a trustee of the Washburn University Foundation.
